How to Make Fried Rice
Making fried rice is a simple and delicious way to enjoy leftover rice. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you make your own batch:
Ingredients:
A bowl of cooked rice
Two eggs
Three shallots, finely chopped
One hundred grams of pork, diced
One hundred grams of ham, diced
Half a cup of frozen peas and carrots
Cooking wine, salt, and pepper to taste
Oil for stir-frying
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients: Begin by preparing all your ingredients. Dice the pork and ham, chop the shallots, and measure out the frozen peas and carrots.
Heat the Oil: In a large pan or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat.
Scramble the Eggs: Crack the eggs into the pan and scramble them until fully cooked. Remove the eggs from the pan and set aside.
Stir-Fry the Meat: Add the diced pork and ham to the pan and stir-fry until they start to change color. This should take about 3-5 minutes.
Add the Shallots: Add the chopped shallots to the pan and stir-fry for another minute until they become fragrant.
Push the Meat to the Side: Use a spatula to push the meat to one side of the pan. Pour a little oil into the empty side of the pan and add the cooked rice. Stir-fry the rice until it's heated through and starts to become slightly crispy.
Combine Ingredients: Add the scrambled eggs, peas and carrots, and stir everything together.
Season: Pour in a splash of cooking wine, add salt and pepper to taste, and stir well to combine.
Serve: Your fried rice is now ready to serve. Enjoy your meal!
Remember to be patient and stir-fry each ingredient gently to avoid overcooking them. This way, you'll end up with a delicious and fluffy batch of fried rice.
